Noi Bai Airport T2 Terminal

Noi Bai T2 Terminal went into operation a month ago (inaugurated in late May 12/2014). To save time in the new terminal to move and to avoid delay cases or procedures on getting on aircraft, passengers need to pocket some following useful notes.

Being put into operation since early 2015 at Noi Bai International Airport, Noi Bai T2 Terminal is used for passengers on international flights from/to Hanoi. Built on a large area, T2 Terminal has an area of 140,000 m2, including 96 counters divided into 8 areas. There are 10 automatic check in kiosks and 17 boarding gates (14 of which has bridges for passengers). Also, this terminal provides services such as currency exchange, post office, tourist information desk, groceries, souvenirs shops, food stalls, and refreshments to serve needs of passengers.
To facilitate the movement of passengers at the T2 International Terminal and procedures carried conveniently, passengers should note the following points:
Departures area is located on the third floor. Here, check in counters are open 2 hours before the scheduled departure time (3 hours for night flights). Passengers should note that the boarding gates are numbered from 20 to 29 and from 29 to 36. Those from 20 to 29 are situated at Lounge B, while the rest is at Lounge A. Passengers should also remember that the notice board at the international terminal is not completely accurate at all times. Therefore, passengers should ask airport staff to determine that the information is correct. In addition, passengers can go to the ticket offices of a number of major airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and Asiana Airlines... for help in changing the tickets if passengers want to change at the airport. For tickets and information about related issues, passengers should check all information at home, because if there is confusion at the airport it may be very difficult to solve with some other airlines.

Another convenience at the lounge is that a passenger can reach Infor newsstand in the middle of the lounge to suggest changing luggage to the door that is close to waiting point. However, if you do not want to wait in line, you should not use this service because, the stands are always crowded. The T2 Terminal has many new and different procedures that make passengers and staff confused.

There is one turn every 15 minutes. It takes 10-15 minutes to travelin from T1 to T2 or vice versa. To move in the area Noi Bai Airport (such as neighboring are to the airport), passengers can travel by bus. The buses gather opposite to the lake on the left of terminal. It costs 7,000 VND per turn. These buses can also take passengers to Hanoi city and vice versa. Also, if you want to move further towards the center of Hanoi and vice versa, passengers can choose Minibus.
